Former Howell Deputy Mayor Sentenced For Theft

A former Howell Deputy Mayor is sentenced to 7 years in prison for stealing $17,000 from more than 250 residents while working as a clerk-typists in the Housing Department.

According to published reports... 48 year old Kimberly Alvarez was found guilty of theft by deception and official misconduct in april. She must serve at least 5 years before she is eligible for parole.
