BASS RIVER TOWNSHIP - The wildfire that broke out Sunday afternoon in south Jersey continues to burn this morning. Although about 70 percent contained, the blaze has charred close to 700 acres in Bass River Township. Officials say they hope to have it 100 percent contained today.

JACKSON - Jackson Police are seeking witnesses to a drag racing incident that catapults a car upside down into the front porch of a township home and sends debris into a second story bedroom. The incident occured after 12 o'clock Monday afternoon on east bound North County Line road and Locust Drive. Police say 19-year-old Jose Angeles of Jackson and another vehicle were traveling at speeds in excess of 75 MPH when Angeles lost control. The driver of the other vehicle fled the scene. the residents of the home were unharmed. Witnesess are asked to call Jackson Police at 732-928-111, ext. 2406

TOMS RIVER - Toms River Police say a burglar broke into a Clifton Avenue residence and stole a number of items while the occupants were sleeping. Police Chief Mike Mastronardy says the burglary occured between 2AM. and 6AM Tuesday. The suspect stole lap top computers, a golf bag and clubs as well as a girl's bicycle. they were seen fleeing in a black Maxima with New Jersey registration YHD-28D. Anyone with information is being asked to call Toms River Police.
