New Jersey Gasoline Prices Down Slightly

Motorists are paying slightly less at the
pumps in New Jersey.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of regular gasoline in
the Garden State on Friday was $2.57, down a penny from a week ago.
But that's higher than a year ago, when New Jersey motorists
were paying $2.37.

Meanwhile, the national average price remained unchanged at
$2.72. The national average a year ago was $2.49.

AAA Mid-Atlantic spokeswoman Tracy Noble says demand for
gasoline rebounded this past week, a change that could be due to
"the stability we've seen at the pumps throughout the summer
driving season."
