Toms River Man Dies In Route 70 Crash
Officials say a 45-year-old township resident died following an early morning, one-car crash along Route 70 at Massachusetts Avenue in Toms River.
The resident, whose name is being withheld pending notification of family, was traveling west along Route 70, when his Dodge pick-up truck hit a light stanchion. A witness traveling behind the vehicle had been on the telephone with the Ocean County Sheriff's dept to report that they were following a vehicle 'that was all over the roadway. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
